Guidelines & Standards
Setting the national framework for safe, effective, and interoperable digital health in South Sudan
A Regulatory Foundation for Digital Health
SSHIA plays a central role in developing the national regulatory and standards framework for digital health in South Sudan. We work with the Ministry of Health, international standards bodies, and technology providers to create guidelines that ensure digital health solutions are safe, effective, interoperable, and aligned with national health priorities.
Our Standards Work
National Digital Health Guidelines
Developing comprehensive guidelines for the implementation, management, and evaluation of digital health solutions across South Sudan's health system.
Interoperability Standards
Adopting and adapting international standards (HL7 FHIR, ICD-10, SNOMED CT) to ensure health systems can communicate and share data seamlessly.
Provider Regulation
Establishing a regulatory framework for companies and organisations providing digital health solutions in South Sudan, ensuring quality and accountability.
Data Governance
Developing policies and standards for health data governance, privacy, security, and ethical use of health information.
Contribute to Standards Development
SSHIA welcomes input from practitioners, researchers, and technology providers in developing national digital health guidelines and standards.
